The System
The System 580 bond tester performs wire pull, stud pull, bond shear and die shear tests. Tests are set up by quick change, auto programming, test modules. Each test module has superb accuracy and such fine resolution that changing ranges is unnecessary.
A rich choice of test piece tooling is avail-able to suit a wide range of package styles. The System 580 can be used either as a fully capable standalone test machine or with a networked PC, running Windows 2000® and BondTest Manager software. Using industrial quality computer modules and a solid state disk, the System 580 mainframe is a robust test instrument for low cost of ownership
BondTest Manager
BondTest Manager complements the rich test capabilities of the System 580. This Windows 2000® based program enables real-time and effcient machine setup. SPC capabilities include real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC). SPC capabilities include real-time trend charts, min, max, mean, standard deviation, Cpk, X-bar and range. Test results are delivered as a Microsoft Access®, ODBC compliant da-tabase. BondTest Manager is supplied as part of the SurePC package.
SurePC
Supplied with Windows 2000®, the Royce Instruments SurePC is a high reliability PC, built for long lifetime and serviceabil-ity. SurePC enables network and internet communications.
Image Capture Option
The System 580 can be shipped with an image capture option which can capture and store a digital image of the bond site after the shear test. This allows the user to store and retrieve the actual failure mode for each test.
Bond Width Measurement
The ability to measure the size of each bond is standard with the System 580IC.
Designed for Convenience
Standard features include ergonomic, independently positioned controls and side mounted connectors, to accommodate left or righ handed operators.
